On the afternoon of February 20, a delegation led by Lv Gang, deputy mayor of Quanzhou City, visited the company. Lin Xu, vice president of the company, warmly received Lv Gang and his delegation. The two sides held cordial and friendly discussion.

During the meeting, Lin Xu introduced the progress of the new SC project of the company and hoped that the local government would give greater support and help to the future planning and development of FREP. He said that the new project was planned together with Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park, based on the existing refining capacity, which continued to extend the petrochemical industrial chain, attract relevant enterprises to settle in the Industrial Park, drive the overall development of the Industrial Park, and achieve win-win cooperation of the company and local government.

Lv Gang expressed appreciation to FREP for active development of the new projects. He said that FREP should make full use of the advanced technologies and management experience of its Chinese and foreign shareholders, promote the implementation of new projects with high starting point and high standards, give full play to the advantages of leading enterprise, form industrial clusters, and promote the development of local economy. He expressed that the government authorities would strengthen the sense of service and provide all-round supports to the development of the company.

The two sides also had in-depth exchanges on topics of concern, and expressed the willing of further strengthening communication, deepening cooperation and jointly promoting the development of the company and local government.

Lv gang and the delegation also visited the employees’ hands-on training base of the company.

At the employees’ hands-on training base of the company, Lv Gang expressed regards to national model worker Zhang Zhaohong and extended his best wishes for the Spring Festival. Along with the introduction of discipline personnel, Lv Gang visited the functional areas of instrument, electrical and fitter. He inquired about the construction and development of the base, observed the training results, talked with youth employees and asked about their work and learning.

Lv Gang pointed out that the training base had strong teaching resources and complete teaching facilities. The company should give full play to the advantageous resources, carry out university and company cooperation, and build the practice base cooperatively. Through experience and hands-on training, combine theoretical knowledge better with practice, help trainees master professional skills more quickly and comprehensively, and provide talents for the development of petrochemical industry in Fujian continuously.
