On November 24, a delegation led by Chen Mingyi, Deputy Director of Fujian Provincial Ecology and Environment Department, visited the Company for research, and had a face-to-face communication with the members of the primary level Party branches and the employees of the Company, as well as thoroughly publicized the spirit of the 20^th CPC National Congress. Lin Xu, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Company, attended the meeting.

Focusing on the great significance, achievements and deployment of the 20^th CPC National Congress, Chen Mingyi made an in-depth lecture to the meeting attendees. He said that the Report of the 20^th CPC National Congress emphasized that green development shall be promoted and harmonious coexistence between man and nature shall be facilitated. It was expected that the Company to adhere to the principle of giving priority to ecology, respecting nature, conforming to nature and protecting nature. The idea that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets should be followed, and the enterprises should strive for development standing on the point of harmony between human and nature, to create better happy life with practical actions and contribute to the comprehensive construction of a socialist modern country.

Chen Mingyi affirmed the accomplishments of FREP in green development, and required FREP to timely analyze/ summarize work experience and turn the good practice to long-term working mechanism, and forge ahead with strong confidence. He commented that the Report of the 20^th CPC National Congress clearly put forward the important task of "carrying out treatment of new pollutants". As an important petrochemical enterprise in the area, FREP was expected to take the lead, proactively offer advice and suggestions, and contribute to the new pollutants treatment work of Fujian Province.

At the research meeting, Lin Xu introduced the Company's environmental protection work including the comprehensive management of environmental protection work, operation management of the pollution prevention facilities, pollutants emission control, improvement to meet higher standards of pollutants emission and comprehensive VOCs. He commented that the Company learnt and publicized the spirit of the 20^th CPC National Congress, made continuous efforts to emission control, carbon reduction and green development, fulfilled the primary responsibility of enterprise in production safety and environmental protection with strong social responsibility, and committed to the goal of "blue sky, clear water and pure land" for building a harmonious society and contributing to the growing needs of the people for a beautiful ecology and environment.

At the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on topics of concern such as spent catalyst treatment, clean production and the progress of environmental projects.

Leaders of relevant departments of Quanzhou City, Quangang District and Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park, management personnel of Technical& Planning Department, HSE Department, Process Department and relevant disciplines of the Company participated in the research. (Zhang Lei)
