On October 4, Secretary of Fujian Provincial Party Committee Yu Weiguo and Governor Wang Ning met with Zhang Yuzhuo, Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Chairman of Sinopec Group in Fuzhou. The two sides had in-depth exchanges and reached consensus on further deepening cooperation, accelerating the implementation of relevant projects and promoting petrochemical industry to become stronger, better and bigger.

Zhao Long, Zheng Xincong and Lin Zhongle, Fujian Provincial Government leaders, and Ling Yiqun, member of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Deputy General Manager of Sinopec Group, attended the meeting.

Yu Weiguo expressed his gratitude for Sinopec's long-term strong support to the economic and social development of Fujian Province, and hoped that both sides would further deepen strategic cooperation, promote the construction of Gulei Phase II refining and chemical integrated project as soon as possible, and work together to build a world-class petrochemical industrial base in Fujian, so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win target.

Zhang Yuzhuo said that petrochemical industry has good development conditions and broad prospect in Fujian. Sinopec would conscientiously implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions, firmly deepen cooperation in refining business and guarantee energy supply, and invest 100 billion RMB to promote the construction of projects such as Gulei Project, extend the industrial chains, develop high-end products, and further strengthen the projects to become stronger, better and bigger on the basis of existing foundation, so as to make greater contributions to accelerating the construction of new Fujian in the new era.
