On the afternoon of September 18, the 3/F conference hall in Fulian Building was full of applause and excitement. The company held the speech contest titled "Firmly Follow the Party and Strive for a New Era - My Company and Me".

The company management, Gu Yuefeng, Liu Xiangdong and Yang Hongbin, watch at the scene and present awards to the winners. Responsible people of relevant departments and the Party organization leaders of Linde-FPCL Gas Company and Fuyuan Company were invited as the judges. More than 120 employee representatives and Youth League representatives from all departments and units watched the contest.

Gu Yuefeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, made a speech to encourage young employees to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, strive to grow into talents with high sense of morality. He required young employees to conscientiously learn and implement the spirit of the congratulatory letter of General Secretary Xi Jinping to the 13^th National Committee of the National Youth Federation and the 27^th National Federation of Students, strengthen our ideals and beliefs, refine political character, and firmly follow the Party. With the ambition of serving the country, we should consciously integrate the pursuit of personal ideals into the dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, consciously integrate personal future into the new journey of high-quality development of the company. Work hard to promote development of the company, work in the vanguard and compose the movement of regretless youth with sweat.

Gu Yuefeng said that young employees should start from frontline work, be down-to-earth, actively forge ahead, study hard and practice skills diligently, shoulder responsibilities bravely, work hard and accumulate steadily, integrate individual growth with the company development, and contribute the power of youth and achieve personal dreams in the high-quality development of the company in the new era.

Strong workforce is critical for a prosperous enterprise. While the company was carrying out the action of meeting the "continuous challenges", 11 representatives from various units of Big Fulian Group competed on the stage, and showed the brilliant moment of young employees sharing the same fate and growing together with the company.

The contestants delivered speeches with clear themes, high spirits and sincere feelings. The Story of the Youth Commando, The Youth Baton, Where the Dream Set Sail, A Year Later Here is My Home.

With vivid examples and lively language, the contestants told moving stories occurring around them. They expressed that as young employees in petrochemical industry in the new era, they should inherit the petroleum spirit with "hard work" and "three values and four musts" as the core, strengthen ideals and beliefs, cultivate character, master skills, be brave in innovation, be determined to work hard, practice skills based on their posts, remain true to their original aspiration, and show the strength and elegant demeanor of youths in the new journey of promoting the high-quality development of the company.

The contestants' speeches won applause. The judges gave a comprehensive score in aspects of the theme, expression ability, spot effect and time control. According to the scores of each judge, the average score excluding the highest and the lowest points was taken as the final score of the contestant.

After fierce competition, Huang Shuyi of FREP won the first prize, Lin Weiling and Wu Wenya of FREP won the second prize; Li Sanxing of FPCL, Wang Junhui of FREP and Zhang Meixia of Fuyuan Company won the third prize.

At the contest, awards were given to the winners of the essay contest titled "My Company and Me". After the collection and evaluation of 113 essays, Huang Shaotong of FREP and Xiong Xun of Linde-FPCL Gas Co., Ltd. won the first prize, Xie Ziqi of FREP and other 3 people won the second prize, and Li Weijia of FREP and other 5 people won the third prize.

In the course of the contest, there was an interactive part of Q&A to deeply promote and implement the petroleum spirit, petrochemical tradition and enterprise spirit.

The purpose of this speech contest is to learn and promote the main theme, spread positive energy, show ownership spirit of the employees sticking to their posts, dedication and devotion, and present the new atmosphere and spirit emerging in the development of the company.
