Zhao Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of Sinopec Group, visited the Company to Research the Party Building Work in the Joint Venture

On March 17, Zhao Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group of Sinopec Group, accompanied by Zhang Kun, Deputy Director of the Party and Union Department of Sinopec Group, visited the company to research the Party building work in the joint venture.

During the research, Zhao Dong listened to the reports on the production and operation, project construction and Party building work of FPCL, FREP and Fujian Gulei Petrochemical Co., Ltd., discussed and exchanged with the leads of some primary-level Party branches, fully affirmed the achievements of the Party building work of the two joint ventures, i.e. FREP and Gulei Petrochemical Co., and put forward requirements for the Party building work of the joint ventures.

Gu Yuefeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of FPCL, and Zhang Xiguo, Deputy General Manager of FPCL, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Gulei Petrochemical Co., accompanied the research.

Zhao Dong chaired the research report meeting and the Party building forum of primary-level Party branches, and listened to the work report of the Party Committee of FPCL and the introduction of work experience of some primary-level Party branches. He affirmed the exploration and practice of FPCL in joint venture cooperation and the Party building work in joint ventures, commented that FPCL achieved three-great leap forward development in the past 32 years, with important position and good operation currently, a solid foundation has been laid down for the next step development.

Through more than ten years of exploration and practice, the Party building work of the joint ventures formed a system with rich contents, solid practical work, outstanding highlights and achievements. All cadres and employees are enthusiastic in work with high morale, which reflects the actual effect of the Party building work. It was required to have a good summary of the experience.

After listening to the work report of the Party building and the experience introduction of the primary-level Party branches, Zhao Dong put forward five requirements: first, uphold clear political stands and focus on the Party building work with firm confidence. We should further improve the quality of the Party building work at the primary level, continuously improve the ability and quality of the personnel of the Party affairs, consolidate good work practices and practical achievements in the past, promote in-depth integration of the Party building work and the core work, give full play to the role of the combat fortress of primary-level Party branches and the pioneer/ model role of the Party members, so as to promote and lead the high-quality development by the Party building work of high quality. Second, further strengthen governance ability of the company and improve the level of governance. Third, speed up people and talent development, especially the training and cultivation of young cadres. Fourth, make more efforts in reforming and innovation to lay a solid foundation for high-quality development. Fifth, do a good job in safety and environmental protection and stand fast at the bottom line of “no systematic risks”.
