The Party Committee of the Company Learnt and Implemented the Spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Speeches during His Research in Fujian Province

On April 2, the Central Group of the Party Committee of the company held a collective learning seminar to convey the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches during his research in Fujian Province, and arranged a special topic learning on national security and confidentiality education, and held a special learning similar on Party’ history around the theme of “Understanding the Theory Correctly through Learning the Party’s History - Unswervingly Advance the Company's All-Round High-Quality Development”.

Gu Yuefeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the company, chaired the seminar, delivered a speech and put forward requirements on learning and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches, paying attention to learning and education of the Party's history and ensuring the work of national security and confidentiality.

Gu Yuefeng commented that we should implement the deployment and requirements of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and the Leading Party Members’ Group of Sinopec Group, deeply learn and understand the spirit of General Secretary’s speeches. We should learn word for word, combine learning with practice, learn with great emotion, combine the spirit of the important speeches of the General Secretary during his research in Fujian with the series of important speeches of the General Secretary, the important instructions and comments of the General Secretary to Fujian Province, and review of the speeches during the General Secretary’s research in FPCL when he was working in Fujian and his congratulation letter to the completion and commissioning of Fujian Refining and Ethylene Integrated Project. We should continuously improve political judgment, political comprehension and political execution, focus on the general plan of working hard to build a modern socialist country in an all-round way, implement the new development concept, integrate into new development pattern, concentrate on all-round high quality development, aim at building a “leading refining and chemical integrated company in China”, uphold the spirit of "forging ahead and tackling challenges", spare no efforts to push the coordinated development of the refining and chemical integrated industry base consisting of Quangang and Gulei, actively integrate into Sinopec’s industry pattern of “one base, two wings and three new”, work hard to help Fujian to realize all-round high quality development and surpassing, implement “two upholding” with real actions, and strive to be the leading company in implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches.

Liu Xiangdong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of FPCL, learned Xi Jinping's important articles "Chinese Revolutionary History Is the Best Nutrient" and "Tell the Story of the Communist Party of China Well" of On the History of the Communist Party of China, and made a key speech.

Members of the Central Group of CPC Central Committee of the company focused on the theme of “Understanding the Theory Correctly through Learning the Party’s History - Unswervingly Advance the Company's All-Round High-Quality Development.”, discussed the learning and implementation of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches during his research in Fujian. Combined with actual situations and the learning experience of the Party’s history, especially the experience and thinking on the Party’s history in each period, people shared their experience, understanding, ideas and measures to unswervingly advance the all-round high-quality development of the company.

Gu Yuefeng commented that the efforts made on learning the Party's history, understanding the thoughts, working on real deeds and creating new breakthrough, also effectively promoted the production, operation, project construction, reform and development of the company, maintained safe and stable production, promoted the implementation of quality/ profitability improvement measures, contributed to the good profit of 1Q and a good start of the year.

Gu Yuefeng stressed that we should pay close attention to learning and education of the Party's history. The company management should play a leading role, advance first and learn deeply to ensure the effectiveness. Primary-level Party branches at each level and all the Party members should pay attention to combining learning and using, and applying what learnt in practice. Through learning the Party's history of hundred years, systematically understand the struggle history and practical experience of each period, adhere to combing understanding the history and grasping the reality, and realize the great will power of hard work; adhere to understanding the development law and enhancing adaptability at the same time, to draw on the driving force to promote high-quality development; adhere to implementing the Party’s objectives and remaining true to the original aspiration and mission, and always implement the people-centered development thought;

We should adhere to uniting strengthening political construction and practicing "two upholding", be firmly loyal to the Party, follow the Party's command, dare to and be able to tackle tough issues and challenges.

In the process of promoting learning and education of the Party's history, we should always adhere to applying knowledge in practice, transform the achievements of learning and education of the Party’s history into new energy to promote the all-round high-quality development of the company, strive to create new breakthrough in all work, and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party with good achievements.
