Pool the Strength of the New Hires for Petrochemical Dream


In the August shining with golden dreams, the 112 young and vigorous "new hires" gathered in FREP from all over the country.

On the morning of August 3, the Company held a meeting to welcome the new hires of 2022 in the Technology Conference Hall.

The Company management Liu Xiangdong, Saleh Yahya Al Zaid, Zhao Tianxing, Lin Xu and Neo Ee Ee attended the meeting.

On behalf of the Company and the Company Party Committee, Liu Xiangdong, board chairman and secretary of the Company Party Committee, warmly welcomed the new hires to the big family of FREP, and put forward three expectations:

First, fit in new environment and be a member of the big family. To get familiar with the Company’s environment, the working environment and the Company’s culture as soon as possible, understand the general situation and operation of the Company, and change the role from student to employee, and the mode from campus to workplace.

Second, keep the aspiration and grow to talents. Youth employees enjoy the most precious period of life, and should develop good career plan and seek for growth respectively in the three channels of talent development, i.e. management, technical and skilled operation. Youth employees were encouraged to study hard towards their dreams and improve skills for career success. It was expected that youth employees would work hard at the front line to learn business knowledge, practice operation skills, improve work ability, thus to collect the strength for growth and the experience for  important assignment.

Third, carry forward good traditions and strive for good performance. Youth employees were expected to keep in mind general secretary Xi Jinping’s teachings, and strive for outstanding performance in strengthening faith, tempering character, learning skills and enhancing abilities.

Liu Xiangdong hoped that youth employees to strengthen their ideals and faiths, carry forward good traditions, improve practical abilities, and grow up in the Company with polished characters, strengthened muscles and improved strengths.

Liu Xiangdong required that the Party organizations and cadres at all levels to take care youth employees, create platforms and opportunities for the growth of youth employees, and act as their guides and mentors. Youth League organizations at all levels were expected to give full play to the role of organizing, guiding, serving and safeguarding the rights and interests of youth employees, guide them to grow and make progress, and work hard to build a youth employees group that "listens to the Party, follows the Party, and be technical, skilled and innovative talents".

President Saleh Yahya Al Zaid welcomed the new hires. He commented that the new hires were fresh blood of the Company, with more vitality to the development of the Company. New posts require new abilities, and the Company would help all to improve skills and better meet the needs of the Company’s development.

Saleh Yahya Al Zaid put forward three expectations for the new hires: first, pay attention to safety and stay in good health; Second, take the training opportunities provided by the Company to study hard; Third, be diligent and modest to consult people around, which was the only way of learning and growth.

Zhao Tianxing, vice president of the Company and deputy secretary of the Company Party Committee, delivered a welcome speech. He commented that the new hires were full of vigor, enthusiasm and energy as just going out of the campus. New hires were cornerstone for future development of FREP, and welcomed by the Company.

Zhao Tianxing expected the new hires to set up three concepts: first was safety and environmental protection. Safety and environmental protection were the foundation of the Company, as well as the biggest profit of the Company. It was expected that "nobody gets hurt under my watch". Second, work hard and conduct oneself to be dedicated, well-behaved and responsible. Third, be open-minded and cooperative. The company adhered to the concept of "one team, one goal", and encouraged employees to exchange, share and work cross-functionally for a harmonious and united team with strong execution. He also hoped the new hires to quickly adapt to the new role and the environment in the aspects of discipline awareness, habits and customs and self adaption.

Vice president Lin Xu commented that the new hires would become a member of FREP today onwards, and work/ study/ strive together with all for a better future for the Company. He hoped the new hires to firstly attach great importance to safety, to protect not only oneself but also others, and practice safety awareness in actions; secondly work down to earth and study hard to build solid basic skills, continuously improve work ability and integrate personal growth into the Company’s development.
 

Vice president Neo Ee Ee shared her experience of being new hire and encouraged the new employees. She said that there was no need to worry, they would definitely succeed as long as they go all out and work hard. She also put forward expectations in aspect of safety and study, and hoped new hires to be good at learning and using safety tools, achieve intrinsic safety, learn knowledge and improve skills during study and work.

The management personnel of some department made comments and congratulated the new hires. They hoped the new hires to make great efforts on study, think and exercise, to improve abilities and grow together with the Company.

Li Zhuoyu of Fuels-1 Business Team and Xiao Ruxin of Utilities Business Team, as representatives of the graduates of 2021, shared their thoughts and experience with the new hires, and gave suggestions on learning based on their own learning and working experience in the past year.

At the meeting, short videos prepared by the new hires were played, which not only introduced themselves in detail, but also expressed their expectations for future work, shared the joy of joining FREP and showed their aspiration to contribute to the Company's all-round and high-quality development.

The company would in next step to provide various trainings on the Company's core policies and systems, HSE education, Company culture training, and military training. (Zhang Lei)
