The Company Held the Fourth Meeting of the Third Labor Union Representatives Congress


On April 28, the Company convened the Fourth Meeting of the Third Labor Union Representatives Congress to communicate and implement the guiding principles as set forth in the Company's annual Work Conference, Party Committee (Enlarged) Meeting, and the Conference on Party Integrity Building and Anti-Corruption Work, and make arrangements for the annual priorities of the Labor Union.

Yang Fei, Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the Labor Union, attended the meeting and delivered a Labor Union work report titled Gathering Strength to Pursue Development, Integrating into Core Tasks to Demonstrate Impact, and Contributing to the Company's Comprehensive High-Quality Development.

In 2024, the Company's Labor Union achieved notable results in six areas: First, it strengthened political guidance and deepened ideological building in a down-to-earth manner; second, it intensified labor competitions to foster greater contributions in the post; third, it continued skills training and competitions, yielding significant results in empowerment-based capability enhancement programs; fourth, it built platforms and bases to drive innovations and profitability enhancement with fresh achievements; fifth, it delivered heartfelt services to steadily elevate happiness; and sixth, it continued to consolidate foundations and strengthen fundamentals to invigorate greater organizational vitality.

General requirements for the Labor Union work in 2025: stay committed to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and earnestly implement the guiding principles laid out in the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and the 18th National Congress of All-China Federation of Trade Unions; thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on the working class and Labor Union work, align with the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspections of Shengli Oilfield and Sinopec Jiujiang Company, as well as his important speeches during his inspection in Fujian; implement the arrangements and requirements of the Company's Party Committee and higher-level Labor Unions, make arrangements centering around annual Party-building themed practice activities of "ensuring safety, improving profitability, and promoting development" as outlined by the Company's Party Committee, and concentrate on key tasks such as production safety, benefits creation and project construction; fully leverage the role of the Labor Union as a bridge and bond connecting with the masses, guide the employees to strive continuously to achieve the annual targets and tasks, and promote the Company's comprehensive high-quality development to welcome and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions with outstanding achievements.

In 2025, the Company's Labor Union will focus on work in five fronts. First, stay committed to ideological guidance to achieve ideological fortification and quality enhancement, and to achieve new milestones in fostering synergy for development. To this end, we will stay committed to the Party's innovative theories for fostering cohesion and inner strength; stay committed to fostering cohesion and educating people through positive energy; and stay committed to fostering cohesion and inner strength by educating on the present situation and tasks. Second, remain committed to align with the big picture, advance the initiatives to make contributions and improve profitability based on posts, and achieve new successes in driving high-quality development. To this end, we will vigorously promote labor competitions, skills training, innovation and benefits creation. Third, stay committed to democratic management, upgrade rights protection services, and achieve new breakthroughs in building harmonious labor relations. To this end, we will continue to deepen corporate democratic management, leverage the role of democratic supervision in work safety, and further consolidate harmonious labor relations. Fourth, stay committed to caring for employees, advance the initiatives to improve their well-being, and achieve new results in building happy families. To this end, we will remain committed to addressing employees' practical needs, providing them with comforts and supports, and enriching their cultural and recreational lives. Fifth, stay committed to consolidating foundations and strengthening fundamentals to promote organizational development, and make fresh progress in invigorating frontline Labor Unions. To this end, we will strengthen the foundational development of Labor Union organizations, the capacity-building of Labor Union cadres, and the financial management of Labor Unions.

During the meeting, work report of the Expenditure Review Committee under the Company's Labor Union and the Labor Union's financial work report were reviewed, and outstanding shift team leads, female model employees, female model employee posts, and civilized families for 2024 were commended.

By-elections were held to fill vacancies for members and vice-chairpersons of the third committee of FREP's Labor Union, as well as members and director of the Expenditure Review Committee.

In the meanwhile, in accordance with corporate democratic management requirements, the fourth meeting of the third term ERC was convened to review reports on employee health and labor protection, and the identification and rectification of major potential hazards for 2024. Matters such as the Employee Disciplinary Regulations and the Implementation Guidelines for Alcohol and Drug Policies were also deliberated and approved, and employee supervisors were elected.
