A Delegation of National Ministry of Environmental Protection Came to FREP for Risk Prevention Inspection
From October 27 to 28,2011, under the leading of Zhang Zhimin, vice director of the Emergency Office of China Ministry of Environmental Protection, a total of 19 personnel from local departments of environmental protection, safety supervision and maritime and an Inspection Team came to our company for inspection of land-sourced oil spill pollution risk prevention of coastal enterprises.
The Inspection Team was briefed on the work report of land-sourced oil spilling pollution risk prevention by FREP; reviewed the relevant data and tally, and carried out a comprehensive and meticulous inspection on the monitoring and emergency facilities in the plant area, LYW Terminal, QLS Terminal and Tank Farm, the construction and operational status of risk prevention facilities like valves, cofferdam, sewage treatment facilities and emergency pond preventing the leakage of oil spillage and leak at site, and the emergency equipment and emergency management situation of FREP. The Inspection Team affirmed the operating and maintenance of FREP’s oil spilling containment facilities, formulation and drilling of emergency response plan, the provision of emergency equipment, maintenance of sound readiness state, and the self-examination in the previous days, and put forward improvement recommendations for the issues found in the inspection. For this reason, FREP immediately organized the relevant departments for a discussion, and developed the preliminary improvement plan in order to follow the status of the issues, effectively preventing the land-sourced oil spill pollution risk.
