Bathed in the New Year’s sun and taking vigorous steps, we’re striving to head for the hopeful year of 2012!

On the morning of Jan. 8^th, more than 1,000 employees of “Greater Fujian Oil Refining Group” from FPCL, FREP and other units took part in a long-distance team race themed with “Welcome the New Year” in order to usher in the new year by a joyful race.

At 8:30 a.m., Lu Dong, Chen Xiaobo, Zhao Liping, Yang Hongbin, Han Baolin, Liu Yanchang, Hu Hongye and other FREP leaders were the first to start off from the sports ground with the shot of the starting pistol. As a prelude to the New Year long-distance race, they were at the front of the runners’ group. 29 representative teams comprising employees from FPCL, FREP, Fuyuan, Ruisheng and other units started off one after another, running from the sports ground to the RFT Administration Building in Quangang District.

Runners, arranged into orderly phalanxes, gave vent to their new year’s enthusiasm as they ran and sweated along the 8km trip. In the cold wind, the brightly-colored banners, neat uniforms and smiling faces were combined to form a lively painting scroll.

Every runner’s face is bathed in the sun, with the forehead glistening in sweat. More than half an hour later, runners passed the finishing line in succession. Wiping off sweat and smiling heartily, they jointly made a wish for the New Year: I wish I can derive health and joy from sports.

After fierce competition, HSE Team 1, PROC Representative Team and HSE Team 2 ranked the top three respectively; Joint Team of HR&A and Finance as well as T&P Team won the Excellent Organization Award; M&S Team, PROC Fuels-3 BT Team and Offsites-2 BT Team won the PE Morality Award.

This was FREP’s 8^th successive long-distance team race themed with “Welcome the New Year”, the aim of which was to enhance FREP Dual Civilization Development Program, enrich employees’ spiritual & cultural life and improve the physical health of the masses. By sparking a jubilant atmosphere of “Welcoming the New Year”, the event implied that the trip for a new year was about to start, stimulating the corporate staff with new goals. All participators of this event swore that in the coming new year, they would strive ahead hand in hand with greater vitality, more enthusiasm and more innovative but practical action to create a brighter future for FREP.
