New BT Operation Management Training Was Provided at FREP


     On June 25, 2012, new business team operation management training was provided at FREP. Mr. Lu Dong, FREP Chairman and President was present at the training kickoff meeting and attended all training sessions and provided appropriate comments. Mr. Abdullah H. Al Sebail and Mr. Brian Ablett, Vice Presidents also attended the training. Vice President Brian Ablett answered questions at any time during the training sessions.
     It is expected that the new business team organization will be implemented by mid July after careful planning and preparations. The Business Team Efficiency Improvement Team and HR&A will provide new business team operation management training sessions for 2 weeks to ensure smooth operation of the new organization and operation mode. Each session will last for 2 days. There are approximately 200 target trainees in this training, including BT managers, BT PCL, TCL, MCL, functional managers and supervisors from Process Dept, Mechanical Dept and T&P and Process Dept Coordinators and all Shift Leads as well as managers and supervisors from other departments.
     All the trainers this time are the senior management personnel, including Business Team Efficiency Improvement Team members and Operation GM Liu Yanchang, Process Dept GM Yang Faxin, DGM Wu Zhong, Mechanical Dept GM Zhuang Xiaodong, T&P DGM Lin Xu and HR DGM Jean Pierre Vanlander. Relevant leaders from PMT and HR&A were also present at the training sessions and acted as trainers for the training sessions for the departments.
     The purpose of this training is to unify the idea and action through the training of the business team concept. The training contents include the principles of business team, key business process, accountability process, responsibilities of the business team members, design of organization, communication strategy and transition plan etc. Both presentations and discussions were used in the training. The key success factors for the operation of new business teams were fully communicated and appropriate clarifications were conducted for the potential deviations. The management asked the trainees to continue to organize and provide trainings for the BT members at lower levels after the training sessions and disseminate the concept of the training to the grass root employees and form a consistent understanding. They also asked the managers/supervisors at various levels to give full play to their leadership in the grass root trainings.
