On June 5 (the World Environment Day), the "Green Economy and Health" advocacy activity and FREP volunteer activity launching ceremony was held at Jinxiu Plaza of Quangang District. Quanzhou CPPCC Vice-Chairman Chen Yi， Company leaders Mr. Lu Dong, Mr. Abdullah H. Al Sebail, Mr. Brian Ablett, Han Baolin and Zhao Liping, and Quangang District leaders Wu Jianmin and Yan Zhaohui attended the activity ceremony.

The Company’s Vice-President Mr. Brian Ablett addressed at the ceremony. He said that FREP is committed to pursuing coordinated development of health, safety and environment and will abide by its commitment to the society. Today's volunteer activity is a great opportunity to practice, and we are also very pleased to have the opportunity to exchange ideas with all sectors of the society. The more we understand the needs of the society, the better can we repay and contribute to it. Our staff is not only a member of FREP but also a member of the society, and together we bear the social responsibilities. So, we hope to build and share a beautiful homeland with everyone by making continuous efforts to help improve the environment. The Company’s Chairman and President Mr. Lu Dong and the Quangang District CPC Committee Deputy Secretary Yan Zhaohui unveiled the volunteer activity logo and granted volunteer flags to the volunteer representatives. Vice President Mr. Abdullah H. Al Sebail presented a volunteer T-shirt to Ms. Zhang Jihong, member of the Standing Committee and Publicity Department Head of Quangang District.

The leaders from Meizhouwan Chlor-Alkali Company, on behalf of the hundreds of enterprises in the whole region, stepped onto the stage and read out the letter of undertaking for environmental protection.

Xiao Huizhong, Deputy Head of Quangang District, announced the launch of "Green Economy and Health" advocacy activity and FREP volunteer activity, and then Chen Yi, Lu Dong, Wu Jianmin and Yan Zhaohui jointly pressed the launching ball.

After the ceremony, the Company volunteer group arrived at the Wuli beach situated in Houlong of Meizhou Bay to clean the garbage on the beach, and they cleaned up the debris washed away by waves or left on the beach by tourists.

It is learned that the theme of the "6.5" World Environment Day this year is "Have you taken part in green consumption?". FREP will organize "Green Economy and Health" advocacy activities and environmental protection knowledge seminars as well as other impressive events in cooperation with hundreds of enterprises in Quangang District so as to advocate environmental protection and construction of an ideal homeland to all residents in the District, and call upon all the people to actively and initiatively take part in the environmental protection in person and contribute to the homeland environment construction.
