Sincerely Cooperate and Overcome Difficulties, for More Achievements of JV
Affected by the market situations, FREP is faced with hardship and stress of production and operation. At this critical moment, Mr. Abdullah Al-Suwailem, president of Saudi Aramco (Asia) paid a visit to FREP, bringing great support of the shareholder and transferring confidence to FREP, so that FREP can transform stress to motivation and break through the dilemma.
Accompanied by Mr. Abdulmonem Al-Momin, Saudi Aramco Far East Logistics/procurement/contract director, Mr. Abdullah Al-Suwailem, president of Saudi Aramco (Asia) visited FREP on July 5th. Chairman and president Lu Dong, vice presidents Abdullah H. Al Sebail and Brian Ablett cordially met with Mr. Abdullah Al-Suwailem and his delegation and friendly talks were held between the host and the guest.
First of all, on behalf of OOP, president Lu Dong extended a warm welcome to Mr. Abdullah Al-Suwailem and his delegation for their visit to JV. He said that JV is encountered with great difficulties and stress as a result of current market situations and JV appreciated great support from Saudi Aramco and other shareholders. FREP will further optimize the product mix and attempt to improve the economic benefits. JV will make great efforts to improve HSE, performance and benefit. He noted that JV highly attaches importance to “Five Key Focal Areas (KFAs)” and will go all out to push forward the engineering construction of ethylene debottleneck project under the premise that HSE, stability and benefit can be assured. Ever since five years of its establishment, JV has scored outstanding achievements in many aspects as a result of great support of Chinese and foreign shareholders and joint efforts of all FREP staffs. In spite of difficulties and stress, JV OPP and the company management are confident to repay all shareholders with maximum benefits and expect great support and assistance from shareholders.
Vice president Brian Ablett noted that Mr. Abdullah Al-Suwailem and his delegation’s visit to JV will be helpful in finding problems and overcoming the stress and challenges in benefits encountered by FREP. He appreciated shareholders, including Saudi Aramco for their concern about JV and said that FREP will make efforts in terms of HSE and reliability and will reduce the energy cost by paying attention to gross profit increase and energy cost. From July 16th, FREP will run new PMT management mode to reduce work interfaces, improve work efficiency, find favorable market opportunities and make unremitting endeavor to improve company benefits.
Mr. Abdullah Al-Suwailem said that he was very glad to visit FREP and was proud of the sincere cooperation of JV OOP and the endeavor of all staffs. He expressed that he can sense the difficulties and stress encountered with the JV and expected that the market situations of oil products can be further improved. He noted that all shareholders shared the same targets in terms of ethylene debottleneck project and would provide great support and assistance. FREP success is also the outcome of sincere cooperation among all shareholders. He hoped that FREP can continue improving HSE management level, give play to the scale advantages of integrated refining and chemical project, tap potentials in gross profit, operation cost, reliability and etc., so as to facilitate continuous improvement of JV performance and benefits; In addition, he expected that all shareholders can further enhance cooperation and enable JV to head for more achievements.
Accompanied by vice president Mr. Abdullah H. Al Sebail, the delegation of Mr. Abdullah Al-Suwailem visited the exhibition hall of integrated project and the central control room of new plant area and drove to visit the production units.
