From November 19 to 26, the Company carried out internal assessment on OIMS system for the first time. Headed by Vice President Brian Ablett, the assessment team was composed of general manager/deputy general manager, managers and BT managers from PMT and HSE functional departments. 20 members were included in the team in total. In addition, the Company also specially invited 6 experts in equipment, environmental protection, security management and OIMS system from Exxonmobile Corporation to join the assessment and provide instructions for it.

The OIMS system was officially applied in the Company from June 1 this year, which provided an opportunity for having an overall understanding about the status and effectiveness of OIMS system, determining the expected operation extent of OIMS system, finding improvement ways and sharing good practices of HSE management in the Company.

During the assessment, the assessment team has interviewed the owner/manager of all key elements of OIMS (31 people), including the President Lu Dong, Vice President Brian Ablett, General Manager for Production and Operation Liu Yanchang. An assessment has been performed focusing on key aspects planned before; observation, interview and data collection have also been made for relevant functional departments and plant site. The range involved in OIMS system was covered in the investigation. 

The executive members including the President have attached great importance to the assessment and management of all levels and staff has also provided great support and coordination to that. All people from President, Vice President, General Manager of relevant department to operation shift leads have been interviewed and reviewed within scheduled time, which has laid a solid foundation for the smooth performance of assessment.

On the closing meeting for OIMS system internal assessment, the executive members including President has fully recognized the achievement of the assessment. President Lu Dong required on the meeting that the Owner of OIMS system’s each key element shall further handle the problems found in OIMS internal assessment, work out feasible action plan, practically promote OIMS system improvement, assure the success of Company security overhaul in 2013 and HSE management shall be promoted to a new level in 2013.
