On November 9, 2012, Mr. Abdulrahman F. Al-Wuhaib, Senior Vice President Downstream, Saudi Aramco and his delegation visited FREP. FREP Chairman and President Lu Dong, Vice President Abdullah H. Al Sebail and Vice President Brian Ablett met cordially with Mr. Abdulrahman F. Al-Wuhaib, and his delegation. The two parties held talks in a friendly atmosphere.

First of all, on behalf of the Office of the President, President Lu Dong welcomed Mr. Abdulrahman F. Al-Wuhaib’s visit to FREP and briefed the guests on FREP production and operation as well as planning of future development. He stated that FREP SSHE performance has improved significantly with great support from the shareholders and joint efforts made by all employees and significant performance has been achieved in many fields since establishment of the joint venture 5 years ago. FREP has highlighted “five KFAs” and proactively introduced Solomon and Townsend benchmarking to improve various technical indicators and repay FREP shareholders with maximized profit and expected the shareholders to continue to provide great help and support.

Vice President Brian Ablett said that he was happy to meet Mr. Abdulrahman F. Al-Wuhaib and his delegation and glad to have this opportunity to meet his old friends again. He added that at present the joint venture is operating smoothly. But the company is faced with difficulties in benefit due to impact of the market environment and he expected the shareholders including Saudi Aramco to provide consistent support. He appreciated Mr. Abdulrahman F. Al-Wuhaib’s recommendations on the joint venture’s operation and long-term development and looked forward to good cooperation between the shareholders.

Mr. Abdulrahman F. Al-Wuhaib stated that he fully affirmed the joint venture’s five KFAs and Saudi Aramco would continue to support development of the joint venture as always. He expected us to make joint efforts to operate and develop existing projects properly for mutual benefits and win-win solutions and continue good partnership with us.

Accompanied by Vice President Abdullah H. Al Sebail, Mr. Abdulrahman F. Al-Wuhaib and his delegation visited the Integrated Project Exhibition Hall and CCR in the new plant area with great enthusiasm and drove to the job site of production units to have detail knowledge of the process flow and SSHE of FREP production units.

Leaders from FREP Departments concerned also participated in the meeting.
