On November 28, the Company held a ceremony for paving Fuzhou-Yongtai Expressway with “Hexin” Asphalt at Fangguangyan tunnel mouth of the expressway from Fuzhou to Yongtai. The Vice President of the Company, Mr. Abdullah H. Al Sebail, and the Chairman of Fujian Provincial Communication Transportation Group, Mr. Liu Xiaojian, and other leaders attended the ceremony.

Mr. Abdullah H. Al Sebail delivered a speech on the ceremony. He said that “Hexin” road asphalt was a new brand developed and produced by FREP based on FREP’s advanced technological features in order to meet the market demand for high quality asphalt. The crude oil in Saudi is characterized by high density and high viscosity, and the asphalt is of good quality and suitable for refining high-quality asphalt. Based on that, the Company mixed the vacuum residue and de-oiled asphalt at appropriate proportion to produce such product. With the guarantee of good quality and stable crude oil resources supply, we can provide high-quality asphalt product to users. With advanced asphalt quality inspection device, and strict quality management system, FREP is capable of providing over 300,000 tons of high-quality asphalt product to the market every year.

The Chairman of Fujian Provincial Communication Transportation Group, Mr. Liu Xiaojian expressed in his speech that “Hexin” asphalt has been selected by the Owner of Fuzhou-Yongtai Expressway for paving the road. It was a breakthrough in the market recognition of FREP’s asphalt product quality, demonstrating the comprehensive supplying capability of Xiamen Sunlit Corporation Ltd., and also a start of using local brand asphalt in the transportation facilities construction in Fujian Province. He believed that, taking the successful operation at this time for a start, Fujian Provincial Communication Transportation Group would have a deeper and lasting cooperation with FREP and would make bigger contribution for the modernized transportation construction together at the west side of the Strait.

On the ceremony, Vice President of the Company, Mr. Abdullah H. Al Sebail and Chairman of Fujian Provincial Communication Transportation Group, Liu Xiaojian unveiled the nameplate of “Paving Yongfu Expressway with Hexin asphalt”.

Successful using “Hexin” asphalt in the pavement of Fuzhou – Yongtai Expressway was another achievement made by the Company in market development. Before that, “Hexin” asphalt has been successfully used in many projects like road construction around beautiful Pingtan Island and its application fields, including expressway, urban roads etc.

Since the first truck of asphalt produced by the Company was on the market officially on October 9 last year, 250,000 tons of asphalt has been sold by the end of November 2012, which was broadly sold to Fujian and Jiangxi markets. “Hexin” asphalt is emerging as a brand produced with advanced technology and of high quality, and has become a reliable brand in domestic asphalt industry.
