Facing sunshine of the new year, striding forward with vigorous steps, we are heading for a hopeful 2013.

In the morning of January 12, the Company held the 9th team long-distance race at the stadium in living quarters to celebrate the New Year. More than 1,000 workers from various units of "Great Fulian", including the Fujian Petrochemical Company Limited and Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited, took part in the team long-distance race, displaying the thriving & robust and tenacious fighting spirit of Company staff as well as the united, harmonious and progressive corporate image in this way.

At the ceremony of long-distance race, Chen Xiaobo, the Company’s Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered an impassioned speech. He said that, severe winter could not hold back the step of spring, and pressure can encourage us to challenge the future, we should carry the spirit of 18th CPC National Congress thoroughly into practice, keep on and carry forward the spirit of “forge ahead and brave difficulties”, unite thoughts, boost confidence, and plunge into the work of a new year with high spirit, to strive for the construction of a harmonious Great Fulian!

Lu Dong, Chairman and President of the Company, announced the beginning of Company’s 9th team long-distance race to celebrate the  New Year.

At 9 o'clock in the morning, a loud shot rang out from the starting pistol, leaders from the Fujian Petrochemical Company and Fujian Refining & Petrochemical, including Lu Dong, Chen Xiaobo, Yang Hongbin, Han Baolin, Liu Yanchang, Hu Hongye, Li Siyang, Zhao Liping, etc., started out from the stadium firstly and raced ahead of the team, starting the new year long-distance race. 31 representative teams, composed of workers from the Fujian Petrochemical Company Limited, Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited, Fuxiang Chemical Company Limited, Linde and FPCL Gas Company Limited, Fuyuan and Ruisen, etc., started out one after another, leading the road crowded with people in a flash, and rolled forward irresistibly together with the torrents of spring.

After a tough competition, the top 8 worker teams were representative team of HSE Department, Process Department BT, team 1 of Fujian Petrochemical Company Limited, team 1 of the Mechanical Department, Furui Hotel, team 1 of the Technical & Planning Department, representative team of Linde and FPCL Gas Company Limited, and representative team of Offsites Business BT. The race also awarded 12 sportsmanship morality prizes and 8 organization prizes.

The new year team long-distance race created an atmosphere of happy new time, implicating the beginning of a new journey in the year to come, and displaying the new motivational objectives. Participants all expressed to make progress together in the year coming, and create more brilliant future for the Company with higher spirit, even higher enthusiasm and more innovative and practical actions.
