On December 20, FREP organized “Plant Open Day” to invite surrounding community residents to visit the plant for a field research on safety, environmental protection, production and operation of it. The Chairman and President of FREP, Mr. Lu Dong joined the visit and made a general introduction to Company’s safety, environmental protection, production and operation to visiting representatives. Over 30 representatives from surrounding communities participated in the activity.

President Lu Dong said that he welcomed representatives to visit the plant and thanked community residents’ contribution to the construction and development of FREP. He expressed that, through the “Plant Open Day”, community residents had known more about FREP’s efforts in construction, production and operation, especially in assuming its responsibility of environmental protection, and about the close relationship between daily life and petrochemical enterprise. FREP would also contribute to society when pursuing construction and development. Corporate, community and government should establish good relationship to build and share a beautiful home together.

Community residents also expressed that, through a field research in the plant and personal experience of the plant’s safety, production and environmental protection work, they had a deeper understanding about corporate production and operation, hoped FREP would concern more about promoting community residents’ living standard and local economic construction during its development.

Then led by the professionals, community representatives visited Company’s exhibition hall, central control room, production plant, and listened to petrochemical knowledge introduction presented by technical personel, and exchanged their interested issues face to face with them.

Through the visit, FREP’s engagement in sustainable development and responsible care attitude had aroused community representatives’ keen interest. They had known more about petrochemical enterprise and that people’s life is inseparable from petrochemical enterprise, they hoped that the FREP would manage the plant well and work together with community to be good neighbors.
