On the afternoon of February 8, Quanzhou Municipal CPC Committee Secretary Huang Shaoping, Deputy Secretary Zheng Xincong and their traveling team paid a visit to Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited and conveyed their greetings to the frontline employees who still stood fast and remained at their post during the festive season. The company’s office of presidents members Lu Dong, Abdullah H. Al Sebail and Brian Ablett met with Huang Shaoping and the traveling team and together had a cordial and friendly talk.

After learning at Central Control Room of the new plant that many employees had chosen to stick to their frontline post instead of reuniting with their families during the Spring Festival, Huang Shaoping and Zheng Xincong, on behalf of the municipal CPC committee and municipal government, paid tribute and conveyed greetings to them. Huang Shaoping pointed out that the petrochemical industry is an important pillar industry in Quanzhou and that Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited is the leading and backbone enterprise for Quanzhou petrochemical industry cluster. She also suggested accelerating the construction progress of the de-bottlenecking and overhaul and renovation projects, putting them into operation at an early date, producing as many products as possible and generating benefits with the least delay possible so as to make a greater contribution to the petrochemical industry cluster expansion and local economic development. She requested that relevant departments directly under the municipal government and the CPC committees and governments at the project site should spare no efforts in securing and providing quality services to the project construction so as to promote smooth implementation of the projects.

Lu Dong, on behalf of the office of presidents, expressed thanks to the Quanzhou municipal leaders for visiting Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited. He said that Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited will continue to enhance its HSE performance, ensure safe and smooth operation, improve refined management level, enhance efficiency and make a contribution to the economic development of Quanzhou. He further stressed that Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited will be based in Quanzhou, pay close attention to Quanzhou development, actively fulfill its social responsibilities, be committed to become an “outstanding corporate citizen” and a “good neighbor” to the community, continue to promote the project construction, actively introduce quality projects, strive to bring benefits to Quanzhou and pay back the society.

 Quanzhou Municipal CPC Standing Committee Member, Secretary-General and United Front Work Department Director Weng Zugen and Quangang District CPC Committee Secretary Hong Ziqiang along with other leaders also conveyed their greetings.

It is reported that Quanzhou Municipal CPC Committee and Government have sent three pigs and mandarin oranges as gifts according to the traditional Chinese etiquette and wished Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited a happy and better Chinese New Year.
