SCDP and associated project construction coordination & overall plan, control and optimization meeting was held on April 27^th in Furui Hotel. Mr. Shao Yugong, Deputy Director of Sinopec Engineering Incorporation (SEI), Mr. Lu Dong, Chairman and President of Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Co., Ltd and Mr. Hu Hongye, GM of PMG, attended the meeting.

PMG GM Mr. Hu Hongye briefed on the progress of SCDP and associated project construction at the meeting. Each design, construction and supervision companies leaders delivered speeches. Shanghai Petrochemical Company (SPC), Shanghai SECCO Petrochemical Company (SECCO) and BYC representatives raised recommendations.

Mr. Shao Yugong, Deputy Director of SINOPEC Engineering Management Dept., fully recognized current stage of work for SCDP, that supervision, construction, production preparation and site safety & quality are under control. First, as he remarked, we shall be fully aware of the challenge of project construction: there are new units and modification units; production and construction are proceeding simultaneously; cross work; it’s of great difficulty, challenge and pressure for management; meanwhile, we shall prepare for turnaround and debottleneck. Second, we shall attach great importance to design work of SCDP. We shall design and construct the project in a standardized and exemplary manner; at the meantime, strengthen materials/goods procurement and expedite delivery and transportation of large equipment. FREP Chairman and President Mr. Lu Dong made a wrap-up speech. He extended gratitude to leads and experts from Sinopec and brother companies for their efforts in inspection and guidance on site at the critical stage of FREP SCDP and associated project construction which pushed the project construction. Fujian Integrated Refining & Ethylene Project new units have run for over four years but troubles have not been shot. This modification and maintenance face great difficulty and pressure which has been set as FREP key focus area and priority work for this year. Moreover, it took more than two years to prepare for this. As he emphasized, we shall do well in four items of work. First, deliver a good HSE performance. Safety is the top priority especially when production and construction are carried out simultaneously: site is crowded, with intense number of people fighting on site, and thus safety is great challenge and pressure. We shall try best to support construction contractors to create sound and safe working environment for site construction. Second, continue to pay attention to project quality, just as we controlled construction quality of Fujian Integrated Refining & Ethylene Project. Third, further optimize engineering design, construction and production preparation. Fourth, manage the work comprehensively. Persist in the principle of focusing on our own and go all out to undertake our due responsibilities as the Owner. Finish the modification and maintenance work assignments in a safe and proper way and pay back shareholders with excellent performance.
