On the afternoon of June 24, 2013, president Lu Dong, vice presidents Abdullah H. Al Sebail and Brian Ablett, operation general manager Liu Yanchang and their fellows went to headquarters of Sinopec to visit President Li Chunguang. President Lu Dong briefly reported the operation condition, work of KFAs, ethylene de-bottleneck and TA preparation of FREP briefly to president Li Chunguang on behalf of management of FREP; vice presidents Abdullah H. Al Sebail and Brian Ablett also thanked Sinopec for its concern and support to the joint venture on behalf of foreign shareholders.

President Li Chunguang thanked OOP of FREP for its active contribution to the joint venture. He pointed out that Sinopec and Exxon Mobil Corporation and Saudi Aramco had always kept good communication and cooperation, and shareholders of all parties had been devoted to building FREP into a model of joint venture cooperation. From the present situation, benefit is the biggest problem faced by the joint venture and also the most urgent task currently. It is hoped that the management of FREP earnestly take measures for optimizing improving, reducing cost and increasing benefit to further improve the economic benefit. Meanwhile, he wished FREP to grasp the opportunity of de-bottleneck revamp and improve product slate to really make use of the collaborative advantages of refining-petrochemical integration and achieve the objective of maximizing shareholders’ return. He pointed out that Sinopec would coordinate to solve the problem of sales limitation of aviation kerosene of the joint venture as soon as possible.

Mr. Lu Dong thanked Sinopec headquarters for their concerns and supports on behalf of management of FREP and expressed that FREP would earnestly carry out and implement the requirements of shareholder parties, practically improve the benefit, meticulously organize TA/revamp integration project to complete various objective tasks of this year comprehensively.

On June 25, President Lu Dong and Operation General Manager Liu Yanchang as well as relevant responsible persons of Mechanical Department, Technical and Planning Department, Financial Department and PMG went to Chemical Business Department, Engineering Department and Refining Business Department of Sinopec to communicate and report relevant work and obtain support of relevant departments to production operation and TA/R project of the joint venture (Luo Zehui)
