On 28^th June, the company party committee convened a meeting to commemorate the 92^nd anniversary of the CPC and conclude and commend “Create Advanced Grassroots Party Organizations and Strive to Become Outstanding Communist Party Members 2012-2013” activity. More than 500 people, including the leaders of the company party committee, representatives of the commended advanced grassroots party organizations, outstanding communist party members as well as representatives of communist party members and active applicants for CPC membership attended the meeting.

At three o’clock in the afternoon, the meeting started in the majestic National Anthem of the People’s Republic of China.

More than 30 new party members raised their right hands in the face of the party flag, solemnly swearing to dedicate their whole lives to the realization of communism.

The company’s deputy party secretary Yang Hongbin read out the Decision on Commending Advanced Party Branches (Groups), Outstanding Communist Party Members and Outstanding Party Workers of the company’s party committee. 14 advanced grassroots party organizations including Fuels-2 BT Party Branch and Aromatics BT Party Branch of Process Department, 10 advanced party groups, 90 outstanding party members and outstanding party workers such as Ma Ming were commended at the meeting.

On behalf of the company’s party committee, secretary of the party committee Chen Xiaobo made an important speech. Mr. Chen offered his warmest congratulations to the advanced collectives, outstanding individuals and the new party members, extend kind regards and lofty respects to all party members who have worked and are working at all fronts. In his speech, Mr. Chen reviewed the CPC’s 92 years of magnificent and glorious course, elaborated profoundly the connotation and dialectical relations of the Chinese Dream, Petrochemical Dream and the Company Dream, summarized the achievements achieved since July 2012 when the company initiated its activity to “Create Advanced Grassroots Party Organizations and Strive to Become Outstanding Communist Party Members”, calling on all party members and staff to strive to achieve the dreams. The work of party building and party member team construction for the next stage were deployed at the meeting: First, solidly carry out the party’s mass line education practice activities; second, focus on the central tasks of production and business operation to carry out the party building theme activities; third, carefully prepare the company’s party congress; fourth, take the commemoration of 30^th anniversary of China Petroleum and Chemical as a turning point to build the corporate culture with characteristic of joint venture.

Member of the party committee, Chairman and President or the company Lu Dong presided over the meeting. He stressed that the party organizations at all levels and all party members should earnestly study the spirit of the speech made by Comrade Chen Xiaobo on half of the company’s party committee, thoroughly and solidly carry out the mass line education practice activities, work hard to complete all the target tasks with full enthusiasm, high moral and a brand new spirit, greeting the company party congress with excellent performance!
