The Labor Union of the Company held kick-off meeting for Operator Training Simulator simulation operation (OTS) skill contest on August 14^th. Then 110 excellent operators coming from production lines of 5 business teams of production Process Department of the Company began the contest of simulation operation skills for startup/shut down of each unit in OTS system.

The Company was capital injected and put into operation formally in 2007 and has been operated since then . The production mode has changed from single refining process at the beginning to integration production of refining and chemical products after it became a joint venture and the number of units was expanded rapidly to 43 sets. More strict requirements were made on operation skills of the workers. Playing better the functions of education and setting up platform for all employees to display their talent and contribute to the Company are always considered as bounden duty by the Labor Union of the Company; meanwhile, the Labor Union deems integration of vision of the Company and personal dream on their own positions as reflection of its performance. The Labor Union has begun careful planning and advertisements of the simulation skill contest since June of this year. The activity has won strong support from all departments and BTs of the Company. The personnel working on production lines applied for taking part in the contest actively with unprecedented enthusiasm. 110 competitors of the finals for simulation operation skill contest are all excellent ones chosen from 700 personnel of all teams and shifts. A batch of workers with the best skills will be selected out by fierce competition lasting for more than 20 days according to the agenda for competition.

. Therefore, organization of unit start-up/shut-down OTS skill contest at the critical moment is meaningful practice drill since SCDP TA/R of units will be carried out in the fourth quarter of the year. (Li Jianxin)
