On July 24, the 2nd Membership Representative Conference of the Trade Union was solemnly held in Furui Hotel.

Leadership of the company, including Lu Dong, Chen Xiaobo, Yang Hongbin, Liu Yanchang, and so on, attended the conference and took seats on the rostrum. Over 100 of official representatives of the conference and nonvoting delegates participated in the conference. Lu Dong, the President and president of the company, and Chen Xiaobo, the secretary of the Party Committee, attended the conference and gave speeches, meanwhile, Yang Hongbin, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union moderated the conference and gave a work statement of the Trade Union.

Gao Ming, the vice-chairman of Fujian Federation of Trade Unions, was present and gave a speech. Leaders of Quanzhou Federation of Trade Unions and Federation of Trade Unions of Quangang District, were present at the conference and expressed their congratulations.

The conference was inaugurated in the music of the National Anthem of China. Party Secretary Chen Xiaobo claimed in his speech that, since the official capital injection and operation of the company, all levels of Trade Union and organizations of the company have independently executed their duties in accordance with the Trade Union Law, and opened up a work way of Trade Union that is closely linked with the factors of the company and suitable for the system and mechanism of sino-foreign joint venture, which powerfully promotes the production and management, project construction, reform and development ,and harmony and stability of the company, cohered with unremitting endeavor of all levels of Trade Union and organizations and cohered with labor and perspiration of employees. He urged that, we should enhance the sense of responsibility to lead our employees to contribute to make the company to be the leading refining-chemical integration corporation in Asia; we should insist on "people oriented", and endeavor to provide good working and living environment for the employees; we should innovate working mechanism to strengthen the self-building of the Trade Union.

Deputy Party Secretary Yang Hongbin gave a work statement of the Trade Union, entitled "Centered on the Company, Functioning Positively and Endeavoring to Create New Working Situation of Trade Union in the Sino-foreign Joint Venture". This work statement recalls the work of the Trade Union over past five years and proposes major working thoughts and tasks of future five years. In the future five years, Trade Union of the company shall profoundly study, propagandize and promote the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China as well as the important spirit of the speech given by Xi Jinping, the General Secretary, in the symposium of Model Workers, and strengthen the theoretical direction to the practice; we shall deeply carry out activities of economic technology innovation of the mass and the project of deepening the quality of employees, to contribute to make the company to be the leading refining-chemical integration corporation in Asia; we shall develop various cultural and athletic activities, utilizing good culture and sports base to contribute active and harmonious company atmosphere; we shall strength and modify the working style of employees to constantly enhance the sense of happiness of the employees; we shall further perfect the rights protection mechanism of the Trade Union to continuously and deeply construct the harmonious labor relations.

Mr. Lu Dong, the PRESIDENT, gave a speech in the closing ceremony of the conference, and asserted requirements as to the work of Trade Union of the company. He emphasized that, firstly, we shall centered on the cores and serve the overall situation to positively promote the successful completion of all tasks; secondly, we shall be practical-minded and innovative, based on the grass roots, to continuously exploit new situation of Trade Union Movement cause; thirdly, we shall deepen our spirit, exploiting and forging ahead, to largely promote the self-construction of the Trade Union. He hopes that all levels of Trade Union and organizations shall firm confidence, practice really and work solidly to work for the same goals. All levels of Trade Union and organizations surely can successfully complete tasks determined on this conference to contribute to make the company to be the leading refining-chemical integration corporation in Asia, composing beautiful chapters.

All representatives attending the conference issued a proposal to all staff of the company, entitled "To Perform Pioneering Achievements in the New Round of the Company's Development as the Main Force of the Working Class".
