On the morning of September 25, FREP carried out donation and assistance activities for Shicuo Village, a surrounding community. Lu Dong, Chairman and President of FREP, Abdullah H.Al Subail, Vice-President of FREP, Zhang Jihong, Standing Committee member and Publicity Department Head in Quangang District, and Xiao Huizhong, Deputy Head of Quangang District, attended the donation ceremony and participated in relevant assistance activities. The donation ceremony was held in the conference room of Shicuo Village Committee, and Office of Party Committee and Union, Human Resources & Administration Department and Coordination Office of President of FREP and relevant officials from Shicuo Village participated in the donation ceremony and assistance activities.

In the speech at the donation ceremony, on behalf of Office of President, President Lu Dong disclosed that FREP would continue to focus on the environment and development of surrounding communities while pursuing corporate continuous development. This day, FREP was carrying out donation and assistance activities for Shicuo Village to actively return to the society share the development achievements and create a sound atmosphere for the harmonious development of enterprise and community. In the future, FREP would continue to provide services and assistances for them, and actively fulfill its social responsibilities.

In the speech, Xiao Huizhong, Deputy Head of Quangang District, said that FREP made contributions to local economic development through devoting itself to building a leading enterprise integrating refining and chemical engineering in Asia, implementing the international advanced management mode, and adopting advanced scientific technology. FREP would continue to focus on the environment and development of the surrounding communities, abide by its commitment of being an “outstanding corporate citizen”, constantly enhance safety and environmental performance and actively fulfill its social responsibilities when pursuing corporate continuous development. The donation and assistance activity held this day was a charitable activity to return to the society.

After the donation ceremony, Lu Dong and Abdullah H.Al Subail, leaders of FREP, Zhang Jihong and Xiao Huizhong, officials of Quangang District, together with young volunteers of FREP went to families in hardship to carry out assistance activities through delivering conciliatory gifts such as rice, edible oil and quilts and inquiring living conditions of these families in detail, and expressed that they would continue to focus on and help families in hardship out of financial difficulties.

Young volunteers also handed over love contact cards to families in hardship.

It is reveled that FREP donated RMB100 thousand to Shicuo Village to improve its construction of public facilities like the street lighting in the village.

Since its establishment six years ago, FREP has always been enthusiastic about promoting public welfare and successively donated money and materials for earthquake stricken areas in Sichuan, areas suffering from snow disaster in south of China, “donations for severe droughts in the west coast of Taiwan Strait”, and community schools or colleges, reaching up to more than 10 million yuan.
