On November 2, Quanzhou City Mayor Zheng Xincong came to FREP to see the turnaround and revamp and SCDP project construction situation. The company chairman and president Lu Dong, PMG GM Hu Hongye accompanied Mayor Zheng Xincong to the turnaround and revamp site of the ethylene unit.

After visiting the turnaround and revamp site, the Mayor Zheng Xincong came to the central control room meeting room to hold forum. Lu Dong reported the construction progress of the turnaround and revamp of the Company and SCDP project, and expressed that after the turnaround and revamp of the company and the construction of SCDP project, the FREP’s production capacity can be further expanded, the sales revenue is estimated to exceed 100 billion Yuan, and can make contribution to the local economic development.

The Mayor Zheng Xincong emphasized that FREP shall always put safety, quality, environmental protection work first, under the premise of ensuring engineering quality, implement de-bottleneck project revamp, accelerate promoting established petrochemical middle and downstream project construction, to make more contribution to the economic development in Quanzhou and Fujian. In the aspect of how to accelerate petrochemical industry development, Mayor Zheng Xincong pointed out there is a need to make full use of industrial strength, extend industrial chain, accelerate follow-up project construction, promote middle and downstream industrial development, accelerate construction in the petrochemical area, do project connection well, improve project environmental protection threshold, and accelerate supporting facilities construction in the area at the same time, to create good condition for project.
