To assure that this year’s turnaround and revamp can be collected safely, efficiently, as scheduled and with good quality and achieve successful commencement at the first try, the Company issued safety awarding method for contractors of overhaul and revamp.

On the morning of Nov. 23, the Company held the onsite award granting ceremony of safety award for contractors of overhaul and revamp. More than 300 representatives from the constructors taking part in overhaul and revamp attended the award granting ceremony. Lu Dong, Chairman and President of the Company, and Brian Ablett, Vice President, attended the award granting ceremony.

President Lu Dong said, FREP set the safety award for contractors of overhaul and revamp to encourage the leadership of safety in the management level of contractors or team leaders and encourage the active HSE activity of the workers; promote the onsite attention to safety, create a sound atmosphere of striving for good results in safety effect. He expressed his gratefulness for the contributions made by everyone taking part in the SCDP project and overhaul and revamp as well as their safety performance.

President Chen Dong and Vice President Brian Ablett drew the first, the second and the third awards on site and presented the awards to the winners. They also took photos with Li Jiyu, a worker in Huizhou Tianxin Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd., and Cao Huaijie , a worker in Henan Sifang Anticorrosion Co., Ltd., both of whom are winners of the first award.

 “I have been engaged in construction in field of petroleum for over ten years and I have always been paying attention to work safety. This time I took part in the overhaul and revamp of FREP and I experienced personally that the owner has very high standards and very strict requirements to the performance of HSE. This is a high responsibility for the safety of construction workers. It is a great honor for me to win the first award and it is also recognition for my work. I will keep improving and achieve better performance”, said Li Jiyu, a winner of the first award.

Souvenirs of excellence award were also granted on the site.

It is understood that from Nov. 23, the Company will award the excellent workers of work safety performance in overhaul and revamp every week, selecting 2 first award winners, awarding RMB 5,000 yuan for each one; 10 second award winners, awarding RMB 1,000 yuan for each one; and 20 third award winners, awarding RMB 500 yuan for each one.
