On Jan.24, Company held the 2014 management working conference at the conference room of Quanzhou Office Building. President Lu Dong, vice presidents Brian Ablett and Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Mr. Yang Hongbin, Mr. Liu Yanchang, Mr. Hu Hongye and other leaders attended the meeting. GM/DGM of each department, PMG lead, BT managers and employees’ representatives also attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Lu Dong, chairman and president of the company, made a work report entitled as “Reforming the management, improving the efficiency, and comprehensively promoting the company to step into the Asia’s leading refining & petrochemical integrated enterprise”. He pointed out: The year 2013 which has just passed by was a truly extraordinary time that the company faced the most challenges, pressures and difficulties in the recent years. Centering on the “five KFAs” and giving priority to work, the whole company advanced despite difficulties, spared no efforts to cope with tough situation in a scientific manner, adjusted the operating strategies in time, strived to improve the operational management, and well organized the turnaround and revamping; on this basis, they have achieved various goals and tasks which were set at the beginning of the year. As for the key works in 2014, Mr. Lu Dong stressed: Firstly, we must enhance the safety & environmental protection and green low-carbon production persistently; secondly, we must continue to improve the operating reliability of the production units; thirdly, we must strengthen the optimization and upgrading of the whole process practically; fourthly, we must organize the construction and operation of capital projects and new chemical units carefully; fifthly, we must fully push forward the optimization and upgrading of energy utilization; sixthly, we must further improve the team quality and organization efficiency; seventhly, we must implement the reform to improve management efficiency and benefit; eighthly, we must make efforts to create a harmonic and stable development environment.

At the meeting, Zhuang Xiaodong, general manager of Mechanical Department, reviewed and shared the experience in 2013 turnaround; Joe M.Francis, general manager of Finance Department, reviewed the 2013 innovation day activities and deployed the 2014 innovation day activities.

The meeting commended “the material procurement team of Supply & Distribution Department” and seven employees including Zhou Shengjun, Li Hongchun, Qiu Jibin, Li Xiujuan, Duan Xiaowei, Wan Xiaoling and Zhao Chuan, who have won the “2013 Award of Office of President”.

In addition, group discussions were also organized at the meeting to understand various goals in the documents of the KFAs and feedback & share the discussion results.

Finally, vice presidents Mr. Brian Ablett and Nouraddin A. Yousuf made summary speeches. The meeting has completed various agendas satisfactorily and concluded successfully on that afternoon.
