FREP Kicks Off 2014 Welder Skill Competition
On the morning of May 30, FREP kicked off its Welder Skill Competition
In his speech, Deputy Secretary Yang Hongbin said, “in order to ensure safe, stable, long-term, full-load and optimal operation of the process units of FREP, enhance instrument precision, improve the quality of emergency repair and maintenance, and fully enhance equipment reliability, FREP Trade Union, HR & Admin Dept., Mechanical Dept. and Technical & Planning Dept. have decided to hold a skill competition for instrument workers and welders. I look forward to a competition showing the best skills and competence in the petrochemical industry, and I expect your contribution to the achievement of a world-class refining and chemical enterprise with sustained competitiveness.”
Mr. Geng Huiyong, head of QA/QC Department of Sinopec 10th Construction Company delivered a speech on behalf of the contesting companies.
It is reported that the skill competition for welders and instrument workers jointly held by FREP Trade Union, HR & Admin Dept., Mechanical Dept. and Technical & Planning Dept. will commence on May 16 and end on June 31. During that time, individual and group winners will be selected.
