The Company’s Party Committee held Commemoration of 93^rd Anniversary of Party Founding and “Excellence Competition” Summary and Award Ceremony in FPCL Theatre on July 1^st. Members of the Company’s Party Committee including Chen Xiaobo, Lu Dong, Yang Hongbin, Liu Yanchang, Hu Hongye and Chen Feishan and former leader Han Baolin were present at the convention. Grass Root General Party Branches, Branch Party member representatives and awarded Party members of the Company attended the convention. Comrade Lu Dong, Party Committee member and Company President, presided over the convention.

The convention opened in the passionate National Anthem at 14:00. New Party members, dressed in uniform, took to the rostrum, raised their right hands and took a solemn oath in the face of the Party Flag: to fight for the great cause of Communism all our lives. Participant Party members brushed up on the oath for joining the Party.

Yang Hongbin, Vice Secretary to the Company’s Party Committee, circulated the advanced groups and excellent individuals who were commended by the higher Party organizations and read out the commendation decision made by the Company’s Party Committee. 15 advanced grass root organizations, 13 advanced Party groups, 82 excellent Party members and 19 excellent Party workers were commended by the convention.

Medals and Certificates of Honor were presented to the advanced groups and excellent individuals who were commended by the higher Party organizations and the Company’s Party Committee at the convention.

Chen Xiaobo, Secretary to the Company’s Party Committee, gave a report on behalf of the Company’s Party Committee. He looked back into the selection, exploration and development of socialist path with Chinese characteristics; reviewed the key work of the Company’s Party Committee since last year in retrospect; briefly conveyed the spirit of some Sinopec refineries’ forums and deployed the work for next step.

It’s reinforced at the convention to recognize the complexion the Company faced up with. Although the Company made visible improvement in business performance in April, we still need to persevere and raise our sense of crisis and responsibility to win over the “decisive battle that reverses the trend of economic benefit”; benchmark against advanced companies, identify gaps and opportunities, further raise our sense of safety, environment, profitability and management, get down to work, unite together to fully achieve the set target of economic benefit. Party organizations at all levels should take prompt actions, mobilize every party member and employee to boost their confidence and rise to the challenges as per the deployment of the Company’s Party Committee, and fight for the yearly targets!

The convention successfully closed in the majestic sound of “The Internationale” at 15:00. Attendees together watched situation and task education film “Competition in Silence”.
