On the afternoon of July 4, FREP held Commendation Meeting for 2014 Multiple Occupational Skill Competition in Exhibition Hall, commending 32 “Occupational Skill Champions”.

Leaders of the Company including Lu Dong, Chen Xiaobo, Yang Hongbin and Hu Hongye were present at the meeting. Over 120 persons attended the Commendation Meeting including FREP departmental heads, BTMs, occupation skill contestants, etc. 

At the Commendation Meeting, Chen Xiaobo, Secretary to the Company’s Party Committee emphasized that SCDP and TA/R had completed and successfully started up. To run these facilities well and generate profit relies on a first-class staff team. The Company has been working hard to create a corporate culture and environment of “work is glorious, knowledge is sublime, talent is precious and greatness is to be created”. The “Skill Champions” awarded today are labor models who are adept in learning, diligent in researching and master tenable skills. The Company hopes that you will become “bellwethers” who can lead other employees to achieve what their posts expect.

President Lu Dong concluded the meeting by delivering an impassioned speech. He said, it is a very joyful day today. June 2014 witnessed 2 consecutive months of positive profit for refining since 2011 and a best economic benefit month since 2011. It is a result from concerted efforts by all employees united in one heart and one mind. In front of success, we need further keep up our spirits, further strengthen our sense of responsibility, improve our capability of undertaking responsibility and honor our responsibility in the efforts to achieve a “Management and Profit Improvement Year”, practically merge the spirit of shouldering responsibility in work, and blend into the practice of achievement of the five year target as building a leading edge integrated refining and petrochemical company in Asia. 

It’s reported that FREP Trade Union, Human Resource & Administration Department, Process Department, Mechanical Department and Technical & Planning Department jointly organized and held OTS (operation simulation), instrumentation and welder skill competition in May this year. In the 2-month preliminary competition and final competition, FREP employees and relevant construction contractors, approximately a thousand individuals took active part in the competition activity. In the course of competition, contestants showcased their proficient skills, good quality and driven spirit. The skill competition built an effective and great stage for employees to display their competence, pursue and read their dreams and succeed in their posts.
