The Company Held Kickoff Meeting for 2018 Turnaround/ Revamp Event with Contractors


For the upcoming 2018 Turnaround, FREP made unified arrangements in advance for the 2018 turnaround and revamp work.

On November 16th, the Company held 2018 Shutdown Turnaround/ Revamp Contractors Kick-off Meeting in the exhibition hall. Vice President Mr. Joost Emmen and Operation General Manager Mr. Zhao Tianxing were present at the meeting. More than 100 people including GMs/ DGMs of FREP Process Dept., Mechanical Dept.and Technical & Planning Dept. and HSE Department, BTMs and contractors’ representatives attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Fu Junsong, DGM in Mechanical Dept.

At the meeting, Mr. Joost Emmen thanked the contractors for their participation in FREP 2018 turnaround. He commented that, the 2018 turnaround would involve a large scope and a large number of people with high complexity and great challenges. We shall uphold the concept of “one team one goal”, set up a joint turnaround management team, give full play to the advantages of all participants, mobilize their enthusiasm, strengthen the commitment of all parties, and promote the synchronous completion of all control and collaborative plans.

He pointed out that we must make active communications, strengthen cooperation, and continuously improve turnaround/ revamp performance of FREP. He hoped that everyone could roll up their sleeves to work hard, thusly realize the targets of 2018 turnaround/ revamp. He made detailed introduction to the specific objectives in HSE, quality, schedule, cost, etc.

Mr. Zhang Huaping, General Manager of Mechanical Department, made work requirements for the 2018 turnaround/ revamp in terms of HSE, quality, schedule and so on. He stressed that the preparation takes 80% while maintenance takes 20% for a successful turnaround, we can only win the battle of 2018 turnaround by good preparation. He then issued the “2018 turnaround/ revamp mobilization order”.

Mr. Fu Junsong explained the detailed rules of 2018 turnaround/ revamp to the contractors. Mr. Zhang Yingchun, turnaround planning/ project control manager in Mechanical Department, introduced the basic situations and the later work plan for 2018 turnaround/ revamp.

The 14 contractors, design institutes and supervision companies including SNEI, The No. 10 Construction Co., Ltd. and No. 5 Construction Co., Ltd. took position to make planning and preparation ahead of schedule from the aspects of organizations, early-stage preparations, quality control, construction planning, staffing, placing resources, and made commitment to abide by the contracts, put general interest first, and make full efforts for the completion of the 2018 turnaround/ revamp of FREP.

At the meeting, Mr. Zhang Huaping, on behalf of FREP, signed the 2018 turnaround/ revamp commitment letters with the contractors.

FREP is planning to arrange turnaround for the 47 main processing units and supporting systems in 2018, with the number of units to be covered by a turnaround as the highest in the history. The Company is now advancing the preparations in accordance with the schedule. (The Journalist)
