Kang Tao, Secretary of Quanzhou Municipal Party Committee, Visited the Company to Inspect the Situation of Epidemic Control and Production Operation

On the morning of February 17, 2020, Kang Tao, the secretary of Quanzhou Municipal Party Committee and the commander in chief of the municipal emergency command department of COVID-19 prevention and control, inspected epidemic prevention and control and FREP production and operation, and visited the company employees at site.

In the central control room of the new plant, Kang Tao thanked and encouraged the employees working on the frontline of epidemic prevention and company production. After the work introduction from company president Joost Emmen and vice president Lin Xu, he fully affirmed the efforts made by the company in the epidemic prevention and control period.

Kang Tao stressed that the situation of epidemic prevention and control was still severe, and people should not become slack. The company was expected to do a good job in epidemic prevention/ control and resumption of work/ production. The Municipal and District Party Committees and governments were expected to support and help the enterprises in resumption of work and production with close attention and active coordination. He hoped that FREP would carry forward the spirit of “continuous operation”, implement all prevention and control measures in a "wartime mode" to ensure effective epidemic prevention and control; at the same time, the company should continuously ensure production of refining and chemical products, especially the materials and raw materials urgently needed for epidemic prevention and control, so as to lay a solid foundation for the overall victory of the battle against the epidemic.

Joost Emmen and Lin Xu thanked Quanzhou and Quangang government for their support to the company through "one plant, one policy" for epidemic prevention and control. Since COVID-19 outbreak in late January, the company has taken the epidemic prevention and control as the most important work at present, took prompt actions and detail deployment to mobilize the whole organization to work hard and focus on good implementation. There was no confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 up to date. Next, the company would conscientiously follow the requirements of Quanzhou Municipal Government and Quangang District Government, complete epidemic prevention and control work in solid way, fight against the epidemic and ensure production/ operation at the same time, attach great importance to both, and make every effort to minimize the impact of the epidemic on the company production and operation.
