On January 19, the company held the first meeting of HSSE Committee of 2021. Company management Gu Yuefeng, Joost Emmen, Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Lin Xu and Zhao Tianxing attended the meeting. Departments’ responsible people and related personnel attended the meeting.

The meeting recognized the progress made in HSSE performance in 2020, and pointed out the improvement opportunities of the company. All departments and business teams were required to fully realize the seriousness of the epidemic prevention and control situation, and employees and contractors were encouraged to avoid unnecessary traveling during the Spring Festival period.

It was commented at the meeting that the company would continue to drive the improvement of SPIES in 2021,, effectively improve SAI performance of both employees  and contractors, and promote the construction and startup of HSSE projects; make best efforts to manage the system engineering such as circulating water and underground pipelines, closely follow up gap closure progress, with higher standard for rectification and gap closure; earnestly manage trainer resources, pay attention to training efficiency and effect, and improve/ manage the comprehensive competence of personnel.

At the meeting, members of the HSE Committee fully discussed and approved the company’s 2021 HSSE plan.

The meeting deployed the “100-Day Safety and No Incident” activity, requiring all departments and business teams to carry out inspection, rectification and implementation of relevant measures with a high sense of responsibility from 5 aspects, i.e. safety responsibility fulfillment, process technology safety management, equipment safety management, emergency handling capability and construction work safety control, so as to ensure the effectiveness of the activity.

The meeting also conveyed and studied the contents related to production safety in the Amendment to the Criminal Law, reviewed the implementation of the minutes of the last HSSE Committee meeting, reviewed 2020 HSSE KPIs, 2020 HSE work report and 2021 HSSE targets breakdown of department level, and listened to the special reports such as the use of production safety expenses in 2020, the completion of 2020 HSSE plan, 2021 HSSE plan, the progress of the company’s three-year action plan for production safety, the progress of safety standardization related matters and safety management academy.
