Youth, set sail for a new journey. On the morning of August 3, the Company held a meeting to welcome the new hires of 2023 in the 3/F Conference Hall in Quanzhou Office Building.

The Company management Lin Xu, Yang Fei,Suchart Phowatthanasathian, and Li Ji attended the meeting. The responsible people of relevant departments of the Company and 143 new graduates attended the meeting.

Entrusted by Zhang Xiguo, secretary of the Company Party Committee and chairman of the Company, Yang Fei, deputy secretary of the Company Party Committee and secretary of the Company Discipline Inspection Commission, delivered a speech. He first congratulated the new hires of 2023 on choosing FREP, and put forward expectations in three aspects.

First, loyalty and hard work. Loyalty and dedication come from devotion. Choosing petrochemical industry and FREP may because of your majors, as well as various personal considerations. No matter in an enterprise or in an industry, achievements always come from long time practices. People made success in an industry are those working devotedly. The more successful one was, the more they maintain devotion as a normal. A colleague just said that college graduates should be prepared for long-term hard work at the front line. My experience was that hardwork at primary level was enjoyable for those devoting to this job and following the rule of success of this industry.

Second, sense of responsibility and innovation. As the saying goes, “Don't disappoint this era.” We just experienced the realization of China's first centenary goal, and we will promote and witness the realization of the second one. The era is unfolding to the world a picture of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The new generation should seize the opportunity to achieve greater and grander achievements than your predecessors. We are currently undergoing a great revolution in the national energy structure, facing the fierce market competition, the pressure of “carbon neutrality and carbon peaking” and emission reduction/ environmental protection, and the changes of the traditional manufacturing industries led by technological breakthroughs and intelligent/ digital technologies. The youth is a most vigorous, energetic, fearless, and creative group. Faced with the challenges of high-quality development as mentioned above, the Company urgently needs a large number of young people to undertake responsibilities bravely, with the pioneering and hardworking spirit, proactively participate in the main battlefield of work safety and the forefront of technological innovation, undertake the most difficult mission, work on the toughest tasks, and be the pioneers in resolving problems and starting a new chapter.

Third, diligence and self-discipline. "Youth is for hard work. Otherwise it is not real youth." It was definitely full of excitement and uncertainties when coming into an unfamiliar work environment from the universities. But the key of success lies in oneself, including the induction training and tests that require hard study. Youth is a life stage of "jointing and booting". Diligence and self-discipline are critical for harvest and success. At the early stage of career, we should constantly absorb the nutrients of knowledge like a sponge, and establish a systematic knowledge structure. It was expected that you would take learning as a responsibility, a spiritual pursuit, and a way of living. By closely adhere to the job needs, learn through practice, and strive to be an expert with expertise and skills specialized in different field.

Vice President Lin Xu, Suchart Phowatthanasathian and Li Ji put forward requirements and expectations for the new hires in their speeches. First, attach great importance to safety. Safety is the foundation of enterprise development. You should not only protect yourself, but also protect others, and truly demonstrate safety awareness in actions. Second, be down to earth and take root at primary level organization, learn diligently and combine theory with practice, and continuously improve your competence. It is expected that the new hires will take root deeply on the fertile soil at primary level organization, grow upwards and seek truth, keep working hard to lay a solid foundation for career development. Third, maintain a positive mindset. There is no easy work, one should fulfill responsibility and embrace challenges in work with resilience. They expected the new hires to demonstrate new image standing at the new starting point, transform great ideals and beliefs into hard work, promote the all-round high-quality development of the Company, and write a magnificent new chapter.

At the meeting, the management personnel of relevant departments put forward expectations and hopes to the new hires.

At the meeting, Tang Xizhu and Li Xinru, representatives of the new graduates of 2022, shared their personal growth experiences and insights in the Company, vividly interpreted the significance of struggle and responsibility, and motivated the new hires to do their best in improving techniques and skills.

The new hires of this year prepared a feature film to introduce themselves and express their desire to quickly be a part of FREP and contribute to the rapid development of the Company.

The new hires would receive induction, safety, military, and general knowledge trainings. the Company would also organize induction training briefing of the new hires to help them to become part of FREP, set clear career goals and quickly grow into outstanding employees.

It was learnt that the 143 new graduates of 2023 were hired from universities home and aboard such as Bristol University, Xiamen University, Northwest Polytechnic University, China University of Petroleum, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Fuzhou University, Zhengzhou University, Chang’an University, Changzhou University, Lanzhou Petrochemical Vocational and Technical College, etc. They were new blood and strength for the Company's development.
